Douglas's obituary
Douglas was born on April 3, 1969 in Pennsauken, New Jersey, but was a 26 year resident of Pensacola, Florida.
He was employed by Farmers Insurance as a claim adjustor for many years. Doug was a dedicated employee always willing to help his co-workers or lend a little laughter to a difficult work day.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years Theresa Ferraro Meyers; parents Joe and Rosie Meyers(MA); Elsie and Steve Schatzle; sister Stephanie and Nick DiBartolo; and cherished God- daughter Destini Ferraro among many nieces, nephews and cousins.
To his wife Theresa, he demonstrated endless love and commitment, a life long journey of “two pieces” that truly fit together. In her own words, “He was the love of my life”.
Doug was a devout Notre Dame Fan. He never missed a game with his Dad and had unparalleled historical knowledge of his team. GO IRISH!
Douglas was a devoted husband, family member, and friend always the “Rock” when he was needed. An honorable God-Poppa never afraid to give advice. He was the “Loving Brother” to all of us firmly holding our hands and hearts through trials and tribulations, reminding us to laugh along the way.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held in Pennsauken, New Jersey. His larger than life Italian family will be there to acknowledge a life well lived filled with love and laughter.
