Douglas Clayton Mercill passed away unexpectedly from Intracerebral hemorrhage  in Lakewood Colorado June 25, 2022 at age 57. 

Douglas was born on April 04, 1965 in Bakersfield, CA.  He graduated high school 1984 from Rio Lindo Academy in Healdsburg California.  He attended Cullinary School and enjoyed cheffing culinary creations at several restaurants including the famous restaurants  Sante’ at  Sonoma Mission Inn, CA  and  the Alpenglow Stube restaurant at the top of North Peak on Keystone Mountain in  Keystone, CO.  It is only accessible by gondola  or sleigh Ride. 

Doug moved to Silverthorn / Dillon Colorado in the early 1990s where he was employed with Vail Resorts at  Keystone for 32 years, most of that time  in plant operations.  Doug was an expert skier.  He enjoyed snowmobiling, golf, baseball and played league softball.  

Douglas joins parents Earl C. and Mariane E. Mercill;  sister Josette E. Mercill Esquerra who have already passed.  He is survived by brothers Dennis, Steven, and Brian Mercill;  sisters Danene Mercill Casey, Lynette Foster, and Anna Kane of family members who are still alive.  

Doug loved his  many friends and family who wait to see him at Jesus second coming.
