Douglas's obituary
Doug would eventually make his home in St. Louis, MO where he met his wife, Lillian. They were married in May of 2008, surrounded by family in Scottville, MI. Not only did Doug find his soulmate and gain a life partner, he also gained a daughter in three year old Jessica DeMoor. Jessica would call Doug “Douggie Baba” and over the years the two developed a special bond, reading books and watching movies together. One of Doug’s greatest wishes in life was to have a child of his own, Doug and Lillian brought their son Alexander Ervin Holden into the world, which has been a blessing to all the family.
Always drawn to creative and technological careers and pursuits, Doug was the Director of Engineering at Our365 Newborn Photography from 1992 to 2020. Doug was always there to support his coworkers and family and would always make people laugh with his great sense of humor. He always wanted his family to support each other and grow together. We can always remember all the memories we shared with him and will never forget his smile, sense of humor, and the light he brought to the world and everyone he encountered.
Doug is preceded in death by his father Frederick E. Holden and his nephew Frederick M. Holden, grandparents and aunts and uncles. Doug will be greatly missed by his wife, Lillian Holden, his children Jessica DeMoor and Alexander Holden; His mother Alfreida Holden of Scottville MI, his siblings Frederick (Ashley) Holden of Scottville MI, and Deloris Stewart of Springfield VA; his nieces Kristina (Mike) Harmon of Muskegon MI and Grace Stewart of Alexandria VA, several great nieces and a great nephew and numerous friends.
