Douglas's obituary
Douglas George Hart was born in July 9th 1949 to William S "Buck" Hart Jr and Janet Colleen Taylor in Ohio. After the addition of his younger brother Chris, the family moved West to be part of the prepitory school and ranch Orme, in Mayer Az. Doug completed his formitable educational years at the school up to graduating. Doug played various sports, was in the theater group and had a wonderful voice. Music always being a passion. Doug would help his father in later years at Orme for Reunions, Los Vacaros and BBQ's lending his voice to lead so many camp fires.
Doug joined the Navy after graduation and set off to see the world via submarines and destroyers. During Vietnam, Doug began pen paling with Denise Alcock who after many years of writing, fell in love and married in 1975. Their first daughter, Heather was born in 1976 in San Diego Ca. Shortly after, the family was stationed to Honolulu HI.
In July of 1982, their second daughter, Holly, was born in Orlando FL. The family finally resettled in San Diego and resided their for many years. Doug retired from the Navy as Chief, after being a SEAL instructor for the final four years of his career. He also got his Master's in education, hoping to become a teacher or headmaster as his father before him.
After retirement, the family relocated to Washington State and lived there for two years before Doug and Denise divorced. Doug then moved to AZ to be close to his parents. Doug persued his hobbies of music and continued learning many subjects. Eventually, he found love again, with his second wife Kathleen.
Doug passed away in St Joseph's medical center of lung failure. He is survived by his daughters Heather and Holly, his brother Chris and sister in law Diane, grandchildren Kylee, Aurora, Rahvin, Roy Evan, Kaydance and great grandson Tobias along with many nieces and nephews, cousins. Doug is also survived by his second family, wife Kathy her children Lana, Steve and Tabitha and their children and grandchildren. Doug was proceeded in death by his mother and father.
There will be a celebration of life although the date has yet to be determined at this time. Doug had decided to be cremated and have his ashes spread with Kathy's when that time comes. We thank you for all of your support at this time.
