Douglas Carey, 90, of Weedsport, NY, passed away on August 04, 2022 at his daughters residence at 6961 River Rd. After a brief illness following a heart attack.
Mr. Carey was born in Port Byron , the son of Douglas M. Carey and Forence I. Jetty Carey in Port Byron, NY.
Douglas graduated from Port Byron Central School in 1950. After graduation, he worked at Sylvania in Seneca Falls, NY for over 50 years taking early retirement at 62.
Douglas was passionate about his children, grandchildren, gardening, crossword puzzles, cooking, and walking.
Douglas met his wife Sylvia Jean Bagshaw at his place of work (Sylvania) and went on to have four children, Douglas A. Carey, Stephen M. Carey, Deborah J. Carey and Lori A. Carey. Douglas was predeceased by his wife, and mother of his children, Sylvia J. Bagshaw June 4, 1995 and his wife Helen Parker 10/13/2011, his brothers Richard Carey, and William Carey, and his sisters Betty Carey Kolczynski and Susan Carey Darrow.
He is survived by two sisters Mary Carey Smith Axton and Nancy Carey Glimpse.
Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetary Geneva NY. at an unspecified date to be determined later.
