Doug was a beast, a master at spreading the laughter, and a heavyweight at lightening the mood; Doug found the good in everyone, and the humor in every story; but, Doug always stood tallest in the face of adversity, and had a way of lending that clam strength during the storm. Doug will be missed, and should be emulated by those who can remember the goodness in his heart. My best to his family.
Doug was a good man! I have many fond memories. And we created the most beautiful child together, Alexandra Helene! I wrote a short poem in memory of Doug. Poem to follow.

He came in the autumn,
Of the Fiftyfifth Year,
Nineteenth of October,
To a Family so Dear.

Second son of Patricia,
Beloved Irish Wife,
In the hills of Raton,
He started this Life.

Born Blessed Boy of Richard,
From the Azar Clan,
The sweet doting Father
And great Family Man.

A Lawyer. A Writer,
A SuperHero Fan,
Short stories and Tales,
A True Renaissance Man.

He loved, He Lived,
He walked with great style,
We will miss his Laughter,
His Humor, His Smile.

There’s Sister Polly,
Cherished Friend through the years,
Shared Life, Parent duties,
Good Times and Tears.

And Beautiful Gail,
His Sister so Dear,
Raised 3 Lovely Daughters,
He wished they’d lived near.

A Brotherly Bond,
Always Unbroken,
With Mountain man Richard,
Their Love oft Unspoken.

He was Loved by his Children,
Those Sweet Precious Three,
With Giggles and Gladness,
They Bounced on his Knee.

Doug’s First Born Son,
Dad’s Golden Boy,
Named Richard Ryan,
His Continuous Joy.

There’s Middle Daughter,
Alexandra Helene,
His Child of Grace,
The Princess Queen.

Then Lila Rose,
This girl came Last,
She held his Heart,
And held it Fast.

There’s Michelle, Becky, Patty,
His most treasured Nieces,
And Adam his Nephew,
He Loved them to pieces.

Now his Earth Life is over,
His Time here is Done,
He lives on through his children,
And their Children to Come.

Surrounded by Angels,
He breathed his last Breath,
In Heaven Forever,
He knows not Death.

With Grief and Sadness,
It’s him We Release,
To Be with God,
In Grace and Peace.

With Blessings and Sorrow,

KE
