I met Dougy when I was 21, we moved to Winnipeg and he was the sweetest  intelligent and funny guy . ( dated for a year,  good friends for decades)

"If you are ever in the mood for a sloppy burger" (inside joke )

Love you and miss you

Doug was a great loves of my life. We were together for 3 years that I will never forget. He was a complicated and beautiful person that I have never gone a single day without thinking of and know that I will never forget.

Always & Forever

My thoughts and prayers go out to Doug’s family. We were high school friends at EHCI. Doug was golden - kind, funny, considerate, energetic, intelligent. Glad to have many sunny memories of him at school and grateful to have been a passenger in that red car.

I’m so sorry to hear of Doug’s passing.  Condolences to his family and all who knew and loved him.  I have many good memories of hanging out with Doug in our high school days and at the lake.  I’m sad that I had not seen him as much in recent years but tried to keep in touch through Facebook as much as possible.  He was a sweet soul that had some tough times.  He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered . ♥️🙏🏻
Sending condolences  for the loss of Doug.  I haven’t seen him since we were late teens but still have many fun and fond memories.  Rest In Peace Doug.
I'm so sorry for the loss of Doug. Fond memories that are decades old… May he Rest In Peace.
I'll never forget the day I met Doug, a mutual friend introduced us, because she thought we would hit it off. She was right and we were very close for many years. Doug stood up for me at our wedding, I loved him so much. He was so smart, funny, crazy and fun. I can honestly say that he was one of my favourite people in the world. We lost touch the last 10 years or so, but I thought of him often and missed him. This news is beyond shocking and sad  and I just want to send my condolences to his Family and all those who loved him. You will be missed my friend...
This is very sad to hear. We became friends due our frequenting of Sammy's on 8th street in Saskatoon. He moved to Vancouver and we lived together as roommates and friends for almost a year about 25 years ago. We had a lot of fun including going to see the Tragically Hip here together. Sadly we lost touch. He'll be in my heart forever.

Biggest heart, intelligent, so very funny. A dear friend for many years. He was always there at a drop of a hat to help, lend an ear, cook you an amazing meal or just to get you smiling again. I am at a loss for words. Deepest sympathy’s to the family.
