Dottie Roberts, 96, of Memphis, TN, passed away on January 25, 2023, surrounded by her friends and family.

Dottie, born on June 17th 1926 to James and Mabel Allen in Pratt, Kansas, immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Dottie went on to graduate from Pratt County High in 1944 as an honor student. After graduating from high school, she met Roberto Duran, and the two were inseparable from that point on. Dottie and Roberto had 6 children, Suzan, Shawn, Ramona, Benny, Jeffrey, and Michael.

Dottie was a fiercely dedicated mom to all of her children, raising all of them to go on to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else to Dottie, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.

Dottie was predeceased by her husband Roberto, and her son, Jeffrey. She is survived by her children, Suzan, Shawn, Ramona, Benny, and Michael.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Dottie’s name to the Lustgarten Foundation. A private ceremony and ash scattering will be held amongst family and friends.
