Dottie's obituary
We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Dorothy "Dottie" Hahn Wason on April 15, 2024. Born on April 25, 1951, Dottie dedicated her 72 years of life to her family and her love of various activities. Fondly known as Dottie, her infectious zest for life and her cheerful disposition will be deeply missed.
Dottie was blessed with a loving family. She leaves behind her daughters, Belinda Schooley and Misty Setliff, and her son, Wesley Watkins. Dottie's laughter and warmth will continue to live on through her granddaughters, Mystery Leggett and Destiny Watkins and her grandson, Zane Schooley, great grandsons Kamden Bornheim, and Kylen Aguilar as well as her bonus grandchildren Kiersten Meier, Jacob Woodall and Mary Cook. She will also be lovingly remembered by her sons-in-law, Brian Schooley and Joseph Alan Cook, and her daughter-in-law, Kristy Woodall and her long time best friend Connie Logan Nicholson.
Dottie enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Her love for Dr. Pepper was something we always admired about her. In her free time, Dottie loved doing crafts and had a knack for finding treasures while shopping at the Dollar Tree. Her ability to find joy and excitement in each day was truly inspiring.
The Celebration of Life for Dottie will be held on April 27, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the South Main Baptist Church. We welcome family and friends to join us as we pay tribute to her life and share memories of a woman whose spirit was as refreshing as her favorite beverage - Dr. Pepper.
Our hearts are filled with sorrow, but we find comfort in knowing that Dottie lived a fulfilling, joyous life, cherished by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
