I am sorry

Your mom was always full of love and kind to everyone. I remember arts and crafts and making Christmas decorations with old reader digests she had us collect previously from friends and neighbors for SPJST. As much trouble as I caused she still was so sweet to me. The best and kindest of all people. She will be missed for sure.

Dottie was such a friend to me and to my children. She shared from her heart. How many kids painted personalized pillow cases under Dottie's tutelage at summer camp? How many children did she gather to share patriotism, cooking skills, craft-making, and polka dancing? How many of our children did we entrust to her care on trips to camp in the Texas hill country where Dottie enjoyed swimming and zip-lining on the Guadalupe? We trusted her; our kids loved her. There will never be anyone quite so giving, loving, noble as "Miss Dottie". We love you, Jennie, Katie, and Dinah

Dottie was a ray of sunshine and a ball of energy overflowing with interesting facts, recipes, and inspirations.  A very likeable lady.
Can't find the words to express the emptiness I feel losing your mother.  I am blessed to have shared over 50 years of friendship with her.  She always seemed to find joy and pleasure in the simple things of life, always a kind word to others, and she never met a stranger.  You are her legacy...be the things that you loved most about her.
