Dorothy's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Dorothy Sullivan (Blevins), beloved mother, sister, and grandmother of Edgewood, MD on the 15th of March, 2024. Dorothy was born on the 6th of August, 1942 in Wytheville, Virginia to George and Frances Blevins. She brought warmth, kindness, and love to everyone fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will continue to inspire all who were touched by her spirit.
Dorothy is survived by her devoted daughter, Rhonda Faye Wilson. She is also survived by her caring siblings, Barbara Sue Miller and Kenny Blevins, who will forever remember their shared laughter and love. Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren; Wayne Wilson, Cassandra Wilson, Christopher Weaver, Shane Dunford, Phillip Ayers, Ronnie Wheeler, Jesse Wheeler, Andrew Sullivan, Katelyn Sullivan and 15 great grandchildren, who will honor her memory by living their lives with the kindness and compassion that Dorothy embodied.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, William “Bud” Sullivan. Their shared journey through life was nothing short of inspirational, and their love story will continue to touch hearts for generations to come. Dorothy also joins her predeceased children; Connie Ann Newton, Jackie Wayne Wilson, William Allen Sullivan Jr, and Carl Matthew Sullivan. Their love and connection continue beyond the boundaries of this life.
Also preceding her in death are her adored granddaughter, Rebecca Wilson, and grandson, Noah Wheeler. The memories and love they shared will continue to bring comfort and peace to all who knew them.
In remembrance of Dorothy, we celebrate a remarkable soul whose spirit touched the lives of many. It is a testament to her character and the love she emitted that, while we mourn her loss, we also celebrate her life and the joy she brought to us all. We will forever hold Dorothy in our hearts, cherishing the light she ignited in our lives.
