Dorothy Irene “Dot” Reed, a resident of Mobile, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, June 04, 2019. She was 68 years old. Dot was a very family-oriented person. She devoted all her time to making sure her family had everything they needed. She was also a very giving person who would do anything to help anyone. She gave her life to the Lord and try to live like him daily. She loved to listen to gospel music and enjoyed having her family sing them to her. Dot was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Dot was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Alberta Reed; daughter, Beverly Jean Snow; two brothers, Clarence Allen Reed and Rowdy Reed; and grandson, Brandon Davis. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Luther Weaver; children, Vanna Smith, Joseph Weaver, and Jerome Weaver; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; sister in law, Flora Parnell; and other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held for Dot at 1pm on Friday, June 07, 2019, at Freeman Funeral Home with Bro. Irvin Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Reed’s Chapel Cemetery.
