Dorothy's obituary
Dorothy Davidson Patinka left this world far too soon after 84 years of kindness, courage, love, and laughter.
She was a friend to all who knew her, a daughter, sister, spouse, aunt, mother, and grandmother of three. Among other things, she was known as a second mom, a generous neighbor, an enthusiastic partner, and a compassionate guide. In her home, all were welcome, and, wherever she was, she was far more than a best friend.
Dorothy was born in Chicago where she met her future husband and lifelong partner, Norm. Together, they settled in Oak Park, IL, raised two sons, and developed friendships that lasted forever. In later life, they moved west in search of new adventures and breathtaking sunsets. They found both in Santa Fe.
Dorothy cared for and cared about many things. She made the best of this life, and somewhere over the rainbow, she's now returned home. She continues to be deeply loved and is dearly missed.
