Grandma was resilient. She’s had many hardships to overcome. She was put in orphan home at age 4 because the family couldn’t feed the children during the depression. She was married young and had 3 children. He’s youngest son Harold McCaskill Je was murdered at the age of 25, in 1976. She endured a head on collision that gave her a concussion, head trauma and broken knee caps. She worked for 26 years as a ward clerk in a nursing home. Lost her husband at 58, in 1987. She had 5 sisters that she was very close to, they all died before her. She was the baby of the 6 kids. She worked well into her 80s to pay for a house, doing private duty in home care for elderly.
