Dorothy "Dottie" Dreese, born June 10, 1935, passed away on March 4, 2024. Known as "Dottie" too many. She was a woman of grace and unmatched kindness, whose caring spirit endeared her to all who knew her. A staunch supporter of the Redskins, she was a vibrant personality, beloved by her community.
Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Alda Miller and Arthur Nichols, her brother, Elmer Nichols, and her daughters, Rebecca Roller and Patti Kitchell and Martha Babulak. She leaves behind a devoted family: her husband, Kenneth Dreese, and her grandchildren , Rhonda Kitchell, Russell Barton, Victorya Barton, Joe Williams, and Jeff Williams. Great Grandchildren Ethan, Sammi, Kyleigh, Nate, Henry, Mazzi, Michael, Drake, Brayden, Madilynne, Seth and Catherine. Great Great Grandchildren Layla, Lilly, Delilah and Maverick.
A loyal fan of card games, Dorothy found joy in simple pleasures. She cherished spending time with her family, and they were indeed her greatest accomplishment. She was also a dedicated Auxiliary member of the VFW post 1267 in Sacramento, a testament to her commitment to service and community.
Her legacy is one of kindness and unconditional love. She would often say, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything"—a mantra that embodied her approach to life. Dorothy's love for adventure was evident in her desire to tour the country, always on the lookout for a new place to explore.
