Dottie was the kindest, sweetist and loving person and the obituary fit Dottie to a "T".    I worked with Dottie at American Chain and Cable for 3 years in the late 60's  while I was a student at the University of Bridgeport.    She took me under wing, alway made sure I took care of myself and was available if I needed a few words of support.  After my graduation  we stayed in touch for the next 50 years through visits and phone calls.  After our many moves,  I settled with my husband in Atlanta and have lived  in Atlanta for the last 30 years.  The visits became  few and far between  but when I called it felt like we had spoken a few hours ago.   I was so impressed with her volunteer work, yoga, her energy in keeping herself independent and healthy and loving life.  Dottie always shared with me how thankful she was for her wonderful neighbors, her  large extended family of nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews and how much she loved the support she received.

I have such gratitude that Dottie was in my life for so many years.   She was a remarkable person and I will miss her loving spirit, unselfishess and loving nature. I will miss you Dottie.  Rest in peace.
