Dorothy Alma Bryson Sease, 96, of Redlands, CA, passed away on January 20, 2024. She was born on August 14, 1927, in Woburn, MA, to the Ellsworth family. Dorothy was a feisty and independent woman who lived a remarkable life.
Dorothy liked to have her tea boiling, her desserts with nuts, and she never met a vegetable she liked. Dorothy enjoyed reading, painting, knitting, singing hymns and serving in her church and community. She loved to travel the world with family and on mission trips with the American Baptist Women.
She grew up in the Great Depression, lived through multiple wars, buried a young son and two wonderful husbands. Dorothy's resilience was impressive. Despite the hardships she faced, she remained grounded in her faith and had a deep love for Jesus Christ as her Lord, Savior, and friend. Her unwavering belief in God was her strength each day and her hope for eternity.
Dorothy is survived by her loving daughters Judy Swirsky, Janet Bryson, Lesley (Hardy) Walpus, and Laurel (Brett) Bryson, her sister Marianne Cavaretta, and her extended family Paul (Gail) Sease, Jeff (Robyn) Sease, and Karen (Loren) Wingerd. She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her son Allen D. Bryson, and her two husbands Allen E. Bryson and Lloyd E. Sease.
Dorothy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life was an inspiration, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, generosity, and faith.
