Dorothy "RENEE" Badeaux

New Iberia– A memorial service for Renee Badeaux, will be held Friday,
September 30, 2022, from 4:30pm to 6:00pm at David Funeral Home
located at 1101 Trotter St., New Iberia, LA 70560.
Renee passed away Thursday, September 15 after battling kidney disease for
many years.
A native of Savanna, Georgia, and life‐long resident of New Iberia, she is
survived by her two sons, Noah Badeaux, (father Kevin Badeaux) and Clay
“Joey” Champagne (father Aaron Champagne) brother, William Hargrave;
best friends Donna LeBlanc (Kernie), Amanda Friar, Dawn Robichaux, and
Melanie Griffin; grandmother, Dorothy Boone; an aunt, Linda Trautman
(Conrad); niece, Jessica Hebert (Brett) 3 great nieces and niece Johnna Taylor.
Renee loved spending time with family and friends but she especially enjoyed the time spent with Noah
& Joey. When Renee was not out shopping, she enjoyed relaxing in front of the tv watching one of her
favorite crime shows, a cooking show or night time stories She also loved watching Sunday football and
the Saints. A favorite pastime was fishing, she made a hobby of jewelry making and loved cooking. Her
favorite vacation spot was the BEACH
Renee was preceded in death by her mother Beverly “Diane” Hargrave and brother Joey Hargrave.
In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the GoFundMe account to defray medical and funeral
expenses. Any funds in excess of funeral costs will go to help with college and other expenses related to
Noah and Joey. Noah is currently attending SLCC in Lafayette where he is an honor student and plans to
continue his education at UL for a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Joey is currently a junior at NISH
also a honor roll student and plans on attending college in the future.
