Dorothee's obituary

Services for Dorothee A. (Wolf) Hinton, 74, of Concord Township, a homemaker, will be 8:30 p.m. Monday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.

Mrs. Hinton died Jan 14, 2005, at Burton Health Care Center in Burton.

Born Oct. 19, 1930, in New York City, N.Y. to the late Feodore and Anne (Schauer) Wolf, she lived in Concord Township for 40 years.

Survivors are her husband of 50 years, Harold R. Hinton; daughters, Lori (James) Hise of Chagrin Falls and Annette (Terry) Tung of Chagrin Falls; and grandchildren, Jason and Derek Hise and Eric and Alyssa Tung.

Prior to raising her daughters she won dance contests with her husband and worked as a store detective for Lord & Taylor in New York City. She enjoyed watching and reading both science fiction and unpredictable stories with a twist. She also had a flair for creative writing. She loved her family, laughing, and dancing. She unconditionally accepted and cared for people and was non-judgmental.

Friends may call from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.

The family suggests contributions may be made to Mellen Center for MS Treatment & Research, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, 9500 Euclid Ave. U-10, Cleveland, Ohio 44195, or to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, NE Ohio, Hanna Building, 1422 Euclid Ave., Suite 333, Cleveland, Ohio 44115.
