Known for her nurturing, gentle, and outgoing nature, passed away on September 30, 2024 in Ocala Florida. Born on January 4, 1940, in New York, New York.
Doris lived an adventurous life marked by her unwavering faith. She touched the many lives surrounding her with her kindness and warmth, especially towards her family, who was always the center of her life and decisions. Doris reveled in her role as a matriarch, providing love, wisdom, and support. She's leaving behind her daughters Gina LaRock and Jenny Nolasco, along with her granddaughters Tracy Welch, Ashley Reaves, and Anissa Treece-Nolasco. As well as her sister Linda Barnard, who shared an undeniable bond with Doris. She is now reunited in heaven with her parents, brother, and sons, James Reaves and Sean Reaves.
During her life, she enjoyed cooking for others, reading, and held pride in her work. Her recipes and family meals will be cherished memories for her loved ones. As an avid reader, Doris found solace and inspiration in the pages of her well-worn Bible with the Gospel of John being dearest to her heart. During her time working, she was constantly spoken highly of by her customers, managers, and coworkers. Doris had a special talent for making the people around her instantly comfortable, making friends wherever she went.
As we bid farewell to Doris, let's not dwell in sorrow but celebrate her legacy and journey back to her true home. Her presence on earth will always remain in our hearts, and her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us.
