Doris Lothian Rickard passed away on October 8, 2024 in Tucson, Arizona. She was born in Stamford, Connecticut on December 16, 1923, to Ernest Greene, Jr. and Helen Culver Kerr Greene. Doris married Forrest R. Rickard, Sr. on December 20, 1941. They had two sons, Forrest R. Rickard, Jr. and Richard B. Rickard. They lived in Ajo, Arizona from 1942 through 1978 whereupon they shared time between Why and Tucson, Arizona.

Doris enjoyed doing pen and ink drawings of Ajo’s historic buildings and watercolor drawings of various Arizona places and scenes.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest R. Rickard, Sr., her daughter-in-law, Sylvia G. Rickard, her sister, Peggy Park, and her brother, Richard Greene. She is survived by her two sons, Forrest, Jr. and Richard (Jeanne); three grandchildren, Richard B. Rickard Jr. (Laurel), David L. Rickard (Amanda), and Heather Rickard; and great-grandchild, Gianna; step grandchildren Sean Impomeni (Katie), Nicole Rettig (Nick), and Jesse Warner (Shannon); and step great-grandchildren Reese, Layla, Jack, Mavrick, Aria, and Elijah.

A private family gathering of remembrance will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the University of Arizona Cancer Center or a charity of your choice.
