Doris's obituary

Doris Dutrow King passed away peacefully at the age of 98 on Sunday, August 18th, 2019, content with having lived a full life. Born to William and Irene (Clarke) Dutrow on Tuesday, April 19th, 1921 in Northern California, Doris was the eldest of three children, with brother Kenneth preceding her in death. In 1941, Doris married Thomas Franklin King of Missouri, and began a family of her own, welcoming two daughters, Laurel and Gayle. Known for working diligently at each task she took on, Doris held many jobs throughout her life including that of a telephone operator who was on the line when Pearl Harbor was attacked during WW2. Doris was never one to sit idle and was a member of not one, but four philanthropic organizations: The Eastern Star, The Daughters of the Nile, The Jesterettes, and the PEO. Doris often held a Leadership role within these organizations and was proud of the service to their various causes. Doris lived her life as a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a leader, a grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend to many. She leaves behind her younger brother, Cliff Dutrow, her daughter Laurel Bausman and Son-in-Law, Wayne, her daughter Gayle Fisher and son-in-law Dick, grandsons Ron and Rob (Nicole) Fisher, granddaughters Kristine (Aeden) Babish, and Marion Bausman, Great-Granddaughters Madison, Melanie and Trinity Fisher and Great-Grandson Dylan Babish. As the family historian, oftentimes comedienne and our matriarch, she will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
