Dodie's obituary
Dodie was a 1956 graduate of Edward Little High School in Auburn. She was an avid fan of musicals and performed in the Little Theater Group alongside longtime Boston Bruins National Anthem singer Rene Rancourt in the productions of Oklahoma and Showboat. Doris was also a talented artist with pen and ink drawings, many of which were on display and sold in Bangor. Her working career included clerical positions at Maine Credit Bureau in Bangor, in the Cutler Health Center at the University of Maine in Orono and as a claims manager for the Sargent, Tyler and West Insurance Company in Brewer.
Dodie was multi-lingual and spoke French, Italian and Spanish. She loved to travel with her family, enjoying cruises and trips to Europe where she could practice her French. She moved to Wisconsin 15 years ago to be close to her son and grandchildren. She is survived by son Marc and his wife Vania and her daughters Larissa Furtado and Cornia Wilson, her 3 grandchildren, Kyle Chretien, Joshua Chretien and Tony Medaglia as well as 3 great grandchildren, RJ Chretien, Aria Chretien and Dominic Chretien and her two sister in-law Marlene Minshall and family, Faye and Bob Brickel.
Due to the current Covid-19 conditions there will be no visitation or funeral services at this time. A celebration of life service will be held in Maine in the Spring of 2021.
