Doreen Carol Johns, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, surrounded by love. She was 68 years old. Born on October 20, 1957 in the Bronx, Doreen lived a life defined by kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was the heart of her home, always placing the needs of others before her own and offering comfort, wisdom, and love in abundance. As a mother, she was patient, supportive, and endlessly proud of her children. As a grandmother, she was a source of joy, warmth, and cherished memories. She was known for her gentle guidance, comforting presence, and the special traditions she created that will live on for generations. Doreen had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. Whether through her laughter, her listening ear, or the simple joy of being together, she made ordinary moments feel special. Her love was steady and unconditional, and her legacy lives on in the lives she touched. She is survived by her loving children, Matthew Johns (Cristina), Lauren Visconti (Matthew), and Samantha Johns. Her treasured grandchildren, Sarah Johns, Matty Johns, Luca Visconti, and Matteo Visconti; her sisters, Patricia Mauer and Mary Mansfield; her sister-in-law, Barbara Dziedzic, her nieces and nephew, Christian Mauer, Melissa Mariani, Kristine Kerr, Alison Daly, Jessica Mauer, and Nicole Auld, and many extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Johns, her nephew, Max Mauer, and her parents, James and Leonarda Mansfield. Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the life she lived and the love she gave so freely. She will be forever remembered and always missed.
