Doreen L. Bueno (née Gazdik) was taken from us far too soon on April 7, 2026. Her sudden passing left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Born on April 15 in Cudahy, Wisconsin, to parents Frank and Karen Gazdik, Doreen was a vibrant soul who lived with infectious laughter and a fierce love for her family. She found joy in gardening, reading, and, most of all, cooking her kitchen was the heart of her home, and no one ever left hungry. Over the years, Doreen explored many different career paths, but she ultimately found her passion as a school bus driver. She loved her job and the people she met along the way. Though her time was cut short, the depth of her love and the strength of her character left a permanent mark on everyone she knew.

Doreen was a devoted wife to her husband, Rick, and a loving mother to Ashley, Monique (Sam), Sara (Raul), Jamie (Derek), and Jason (Sherri). She was a proud and cherished grandmother to 10 grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also lovingly remembered by her best friends, Donna and Pat.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank; her beloved son, Francis; her brothers, David and Dennis; her sister-in-law, Lila; her granddaughter, Zoie; and many other friends and family.

Doreen was also deeply loved by her family, including her sisters, Darcie and Dione, as well as her cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly.

Doreen will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she gave so freely. In true Doreen fashion, we’ll honor her by feeding people well, taking care of each other, and politely declining to answer any questions about our age.

A celebration of life will be held on May 3, 2026, from 11:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. at South Milwaukee Yacht Club, 101 Marshall Ave., South Milwaukee, WI 53172.
