My name is Jason, and I had the privilege of meeting Donna at the Care facility where my mom is currently recovering from a leg break. My mom was her roommate and the first day I'm at her she was very kind, considerate, and could tell she had a great spirit and personality. Remember the first day I met her, I brought my mom food and I brought something a little extra for her as well. And she wanted to get a soda from the pop machine, and I told her I would get her whatever she wanted. Without hesitation she offered me $3 to get us all something to drink. I told her it's okay I got it but she insisted, so I obliged. And then when I had to leave for the evening I asked my mom what she would like me to bring her tomorrow, and then on my way out I asked Donna what you would like me to bring her as well. Donna told me that she would like popsicles, so I made sure that I went to the store and got the biggest bag of popsicles I could so they could both share whenever they wanted. It's tough feeling and being helpless at times in life. But I wanted to bring a little Joy to her world along with my mom's and thought of her as well as my mom anytime I went home and offered to bring something back to brighten their day. I remember how broke my heart was to hear of her passing because she became my mom Linda's friend through the hard times, and my mom would watch out for her, encourage her and Donna told my mom that she's always got her back no matter what. I was so happy to hear that my mom had a friend in such a place. It was hard to leave, but it was also hard to stay. I remember Donna the first day I came she had her TV set on a station that was playing the 700 club and there was stories of healing, happy endings and prayer at the end for anybody who needs it. I thought that was so sweet. I continued to pray for her along with my mom during her visit here, and now I'm extending those prayers to all of her friends and family that loved her throughout her life. She told my mom that she was beautiful, and gave her a blouse to wear because when my mom had to go to the hospital they took her clothes. I thought it was very sweet and generous. And without a doubt I feel no that she made a huge impact on everybody's life that she loved and who loved her as well. May the Lord grant her the peace that we all miss in life. And I asked the Lord to greet her with his loving arms and take her home where there is no sadness, loss, or pain. She was a great woman, and I'm sure she's missed by all that new her. I'm grateful for the brief moment that I got to know her and we miss her.

Beautifully written... RIH, Donna! These last few months, I've often reflected on our past- from Jazz class at Logan to bar hopping in our 20s and everything that followed .. Great times we shared and you'll be remembered and missed forever!
Until we meet again...
