— Donna Jane Slemker (Cripps), 61, of Eaton, left this Earth to be with the Lord on Friday, December 8, 2023, in Venice, FL. Donna leaves behind her husband, Joseph (Chip) Slemker, her two beloved sons Adam & Josh (Megan) Slemker, two precious grandchildren, Rhett & Kane, her sister Bonnie (Melvin) & her faithful companion dog, Luke.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mozella & Wilson Cripps, her brother Ronald, sister Margie, and her heart dog, Sparky.

Donna was born January 19, 1962 in Dayton, OH. She lived in Preble County for the majority of her life. Donna attended School at Twin Valley South & MCJVS, class of 1980. She then continued her education at Indiana University and graduated as an LPN. Donna married Joseph on May 13, 1989. The two became a family of 3 in 1990 with the birth of their first son Josh, which expanded in 1995 with the birth of another son, Adam. Donna’s whole world was her family, but she also enjoyed working as an LPN at Richmond Family Care for 29 years.

Donna loved caring for and spending time with her family, especially at the lake! She enjoyed walking her dogs nearly every day. She was always happy to be spending time with her friends, shopping & playing slot machines whenever she made a trip to the casinos. Donna was well-known for her fabulous cooking, which was always accompanied by her warm smile.

A celebration of life service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, December 15, at St. John Church, West Alexandria, with Pastor Mearl Hodges officiating. There will be a lunch served prior to the service. The family will have a private viewing and burial at Preble Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, December 15 immediately following the service. Burial will be in Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria. Memorial donations in honor of Donna may be made to Preble County Humane Society or Alzheimer's Association.
