Donna Mary Saverino (nee Sienkelewski), 82, of Sykesville, Maryland, passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 23, 2023. Donna had been sick for 8 years, following a stroke, and she kept living with joy despite some limitations. Upon diagnosis of a brain tumor on January 13, 2023, she passed 10 days later. She spent her final days with family, recalling good memories, watching Westerns, and eating some of her favorite foods, including Rheb's chocolates which she requested and her granddaughter Brooke had shipped overnight to ensure Donna got some dark chocolate caramels in her final days.

Donna is survived by her husband of 63 years, Eugene Saverino; daughters Shari Griffith and Karen Saverino; grandchildren Brooke Engwall, Courtney Burrier, and Christopher Griffith; son-in-law Todd Griffith; and grand-son-in-laws Dave Engwall and Brett Burrier. Also surviving is brother Edward Sienkilewski and his wife Kay, and many nieces and nephews. 

Born in Baltimore, Donna was a graduate of Seton High School. 

Donna will be remembered for hosting big family Sunday dinners, volunteering at her children's schools, reading countless library books and for regularly donating blood for over 20 years. 

Her passing has left a big hole in our hearts, as she was the foundation of our family, and we will miss her always.
