In Memoriam: Donna Sue Robshaw Sinclair (November 10, 1955 - June 29, 2023)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Sue Robshaw Sinclair, a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She departed this world on June 29, 2023, at the age of 67, after a brave and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Donna's life journey touched the hearts of many, leaving an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born as Paula Sinclair on November 10, 1955, in Augusta, Maine, she was adopted by Vaughn and Dorothy Robshaw of Bucksport, who bestowed upon her the name Donna Sue Robshaw. Her formative years were spent in Bucksport, where she demonstrated an adventurous spirit and an eagerness to explore the world around her.
Following her curiosity and sense of duty, Donna joined the armed forces and engaged in basic combat training at Fort McClellan, Alabama.
As she matured, Donna embraced her faith in Jesus Christ, becoming a devoted believer and finding solace in worship. Her spiritual convictions shaped her into a compassionate and selfless soul, ever ready to extend her hand to those in need. Known for her artistic talents, Donna's knitting, crocheting, sewing, and baking skills were unmatched, and she devoted her time and effort to create heartfelt gifts for her loved ones.
Her vibrant personality was reflected in her love for the color purple, which became legendary among those who knew her. It symbolized her joyous spirit and the brightness she brought into the lives of everyone around her. Donna's infectious laughter and kind demeanor left a lasting impact on the hearts of those she encountered.
Donna Sue Robshaw Sinclair is survived by her sister, Deb Vaughn, by her children, Adrienne Wylder (51), Matthew MacDonald (47), and Shawn MacDonald (45), and her cherished grandchildren, Bryan Bickford, Christian Torchia, Fiona Cornwall, and Jayden MacDonald. Their love and memories of her will live on as a testament to the remarkable woman she was.
A service in honor of Donna's life and legacy will be held at the Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery (163 Mount Vernon Road, Augusta , ME 207-287-3481) on Friday, August 25th, commencing at 2:00 pm. Family and friends will gather to pay their respects.
Donna's memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her, and her kindness will continue to inspire acts of generosity and compassion for generations to come.
