Donna's obituary

Donna Louise Brown, aged 85, of Moore, OK, peacefully passed away at home on Sunday, July 30th, 2023. She was born on July 7, 1938, in Konawa, OK, the beloved daughter of Melvin "Roy" and Beatrice (Roulston) Anders. Donna graduated from Midwest City High School in 1957 and later married the love of her life, Stan Brown, on August 31, 1963, in Holdenville, OK. Together, they cherished a life filled with love and happiness, spending most of their years near the Oklahoma City area.

Donna dedicated herself to her work at Tinker Air Force for 35 years. She found joy in exploring new places, and some of her favorite moments were spent traveling to Branson with her husband, church friends, and family, where they enjoyed shopping and watching Sight and Sound shows, all while taking in the beautiful views of Lake of the Ozark's. When the weather was pleasant, Donna and Stan loved visiting their farm in Holdenville, OK.

Every Sunday, Donna attended Unified Vision Church in Oklahoma City, where she shared cherished moments with her closest and dearest friends. Her strong faith sustained her throughout her life, inspiring others with her positive outlook and happy anticipation of heaven during her time in home hospice since May 2023.

Before her health declined, Donna enjoyed going on outings, spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. In her later months, she found comfort in watching movies, sharing precious moments with family and friends, and occasionally venturing out of the house when possible.

Donna's family was the heart of her life, and she held a special place in her heart for her grand-babies. She is predeceased by her parents, Roy and Beatrice Anders, multiple siblings, and her loving husband Stan Brown.

Donna is survived by her two daughters, Amber Schoemann and Christi Dawn Hotella-Ide (Jon Ide), as well as her grandchildren, Ashley Knight, Sandra Schoemann, Aften Palmer (Jarod), and Keipher Hotella (Jennifer), Krysten Adams (Todd). She leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Donna's life was a testament to the biblical wisdom, "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ" Ephesians 4:32. Her loving spirit and fond memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her.

You're invited to join the family at Unified Vision Church on Saturday, August 4, 2023, at 2:00 pm for a Celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Unified Vision Church to honor the memory of Donna Brown.
