Honoring Donna Lorraine Harmor Sellers:
A Life Well-Lived, A Heart Well-Loved
Donna Lorraine Harmor Sellers, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 5th, 2024, in Monument, Colorado. Born on September 1st, 1953, in Rochester, New York, to Paul Harmor and Lorraine Stone Ross, Donna's life was a testament to her enduring kindness, creativity, and unwavering faith.
Donna's journey took her from Pittsford, New York, to North Las Vegas, Nevada (where she raised her children), to Utah, Michigan, and finally to the beautiful landscapes of Monument, Colorado.
Donna's life was enriched by her deep love for her family. She is survived by her siblings, Morris Harmor, Wayne Harmor, and Beverly Lynne Harmor Merrill; her devoted children and her cherished 31 grandchildren: Sherry/Joshua Carter (Savannah Carter), Beverly Rodriguez (Lauren & Rose Lee, Cade & Quentin Rodriguez), John Jr./Ashley Sellers (Brendyn, Alli, Lyncoln, Ryker & Bridger Sellers), Sarah/Curtis Rockwood (Robyn, Sydney, Roxie, Jennette & Jemma Rockwood), Rachel Drumm-Miller (Emily, Bethany, Mason, Chelsea, Katie & Shelby Drumm), Rebecca & Rick Van Luvender (Elliot, Aidan, & Zane Crook) David/Jennifer Sellers (Ethan, Rylan, & Preston Sellers and Baylee Powers) and Tracey/Matt Allen (Corbin, Ledger & Declan Allen); who brought her immeasurable joy. She joins in Heaven her father, Paul Harmor, mother Lorraine Stone Ross, mother-in-law Joyce Sellers, brother Steven Paul Harmor, and nephew Paul Steven Harmor.
Starting in May 202, she had a painful and exhausting battle with Uterine Sarcoma Stage 4 Cancer. The cancer unfortunately was not caught early enough and by the time it was caught it was very aggressive and moved extremely fast. It moved quickly from her uterus to her lungs, then to her back, hip and finally ending in her brain. It happened so fast and took all of us by surprise.
Donna's passions were many, but none more so than her love for crafting, teaching, and her unshakeable faith in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Whether she was creating with her grandchildren, decorating for the holidays, or preparing lessons for her Primary class, Donna did so with a smile that could light up any room. Her creativity knew no bounds, and her home was a testament to her artistic spirit, filled with glitter, bling, and handcrafted beauty.
Described by those who knew her as selfless, loving, and perpetually positive, Donna's legacy is one of compassion and service. She lived a Christ-like life, always placing others before herself, and her impact on her family, friends, community, and church was profound.
We invite all who knew and loved Donna to join us in celebrating her life on April 15th, 2024, at the chapel for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 950 CO-105, Monument, CO 80132. There will be a public Viewing from 9am to 10 a.m., followed by a public memorial service from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Luncheon at 1 pm after the Private burial.
Her children are requesting that anyone who knew and loved Donna or anyone who wants to share her memory with an act of kindness for donations to help them pay for her funeral and burial expenses. The cancer took her too quickly far too soon.
Donna once shared a scripture that encapsulated her approach to life, reflecting her dedication to faith, family, and service.
2 Timothy 4:7
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:”
Her family takes comfort in knowing she lived fully and loved deeply, leaving behind a legacy of joy and faith that will forever inspire those who knew her.
"Mom, you instilled in us the beauty of creativity, the power of prayer, the strength of faith, and the importance and value of kindness. Your memory will be a beacon of love and hope to us all. Until we meet again." Contribute
