I met Donna my junior year at Behrman 1965. She was my first high school girlfriend. She was tall, attractive and athletic, with an infectious laugh. I still have the silver ID bracelet she wore while we went steady.
Donna was such a wonderful woman with such a huge heart and a wonderful laugh. Our family met Jack and Donna through the Thunderbirds. Our son Eli was blessed to be a young player far from his Alaska home placed in the loving care of Jack and Donna. Such incredibly generous people. They took care of our son like he was their own. And through that kindness we became good friends. If the world had more people like Jack and Donna if would be a far better place. Then there were her chocolate chip cookies. Our family fought over them. They were the perfect cookie and only Donna knew that secret. Drats!! We will miss you Donna. You were one in 10 million!
I’m so sorry to hear of Donna’s passing. She had such a huge heart and a beautiful smile. She also had a great sense of humor. I still miss not seeing her and Jack at hockey games. Wishing for peace for her family.
Sorry to hear this news. Donna was so nice and always had a smile on. Playing hockey for the Thunderbirds and being kid being away from family it was people like Donna that made you feel cared for. After games no matter how the game went it was always a treat seeing Donna near the exit smiling with bags full of her amazing cookies and banana bread. My condolences to her family, she will be greatly missed
Donna was such a wonderful and kind woman. She and Jack were such a big part of our hockey community. She always had a smile and either cookies or banana bread for our boys. My heart goes out to her family Heaven has a gained an angel
Jack and Donna were my first friends at the Seattle Thunderbirds. We were lucky enough to end up spending a season seating next to them. They always made me smile and laugh and I loved hearing all their stories about the hockey boys. They loved them as their own. I will miss seeing them at the games. Sending love and strength to their families and friends...the world is a little less brighter now. 😢
I am so sorry to hear of Donna’s passing. I have been a billet down here in Kent and met her early in my billet days. She even made ME cookies a few times. Always a smile always supporting g the boys. The first player we billeted was Jeremy Boyer who had moved in with her a season or two earlier. He took a bed in her craft room and she told me she felt horrible it had floral bedding so she went and bought new bedding for him. That’s just the way she rolled. What a big heart and good soul. My condolences to the family 💚💙
