Donna Kay Harper, 68, life long resident of Cleveland, Ohio passed away Wednesday, July 9th, 2025 from a brief illness .

She was born in Charleston, West Virginia on June 10th, 1957 to Shirley Duckworth.

Donna was woman of faith who enjoyed watching old TV shows and reading crime stories. Her greatest joy was being a doting cat Mom to all the special cats she had during her lifetime. Her silliness and inability to meet a stranger will always be her lasting legacy.

She was proceeded in death by her grandmother Nora Slaughter and stepfather Jerrell Duckworth.

In addition to her mother she is survived by sisters Tena Harper and Julia Liu, nephew Nathaniel Harper, Julia’s husband Gregory Liu and their children David Liu, Sasha Liu and Jennifer Cirigliano-Liu.

Per her wishes Donna was cremated and a private service will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Cleveland APL in her honor.
