Donna Marie (Greene) Pratt - age 71

Passed away at Exeter Hospital in Exeter, NH February 25, 2020 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by her two daughters.

Donna was born in Brighton, MA February 4, 1949 to Mary and Donald Greene. Donna spent her early childhood in Ipswich, MA growing up around her grandparent's farm. She spent a lot of time at the ocean where she would enjoy her family's boat. It was here she learned the family clamming business.

Her parents moved to Georgetown, MA in 1958. She attended Georgetown High School, class of 1967. She married Don Cobbett and soon moved to North Carolina on a marine base with daughter Deborah in 1966. In the following years, Donna and Deborah moved back to Massachusetts.

She started her work in Topsfield, MA and later worked alongside her mother at Donna Marie's Beauty Salon in Georgetown, MA. She continued to practice her craft locally for over forty years. After retirement, Donna became a traveling hairdresser for the elderly. She found her new passion in caring for and being a companion to her beloved seniors.

Donna was married to Peter Pratt in 1989. She was a longtime resident of Groveland, MA, it was here she raised her daughter Amber. She spent the last two years living with Amber and her family in Epping, NH.

Donna was an avid traveler with a love for the outdoors. You could often find her camping in the mountains of New Hampshire. She adored all types of animals and you would never see her house empty. Whether a cat or dog, bird or hammerhead shark. She had it! Donna had a huge love for music and enjoyed going to bluegrass concerts. She was always a thrill seeker and had a passion for cars. She spent a lot of time at New England Drag way and Starspeedway. Donna also enjoyed decorating for the holiday's, especially for Halloween and Christmas. She loved to sew and would make her childrens costumes and even some of Amber's clothes growing up. Donna's brilliant smile, contagious laugh, spunky sense of humor and heart of gold will be dearly missed.
