Donna Lou Galloway (maiden name Tibbets), aged 70, passed away on December 13, 2023, in Sacramento, California.

Born on February 26, 1953, in Eugene Oregon, Donna was a remarkable individual known for her intelligence and warmth. She held a Master’s degree and had a successful career as both a programmer, teacher, and paralegal.

Donna was a member of Mensa, reflecting her high intellect, which she often applied to her passion for reading, especially educational material in math and science. Her interests also included science fiction, computers, and dining out. She had a profound love for cats and took great joy in children’s literature, a reflection of her nurturing spirit.

She is survived by her daughter, Laurel Kathlyn Galloway; her sister, Wilma Kay McConnell; and her brother, Larry Tibbets. She was preceded in death by her parents, several aunts and siblings, and her husband, Michael.

A celebration of life service was held on January 20, 2024, attended by her family and friends, marking a tribute to her loving and impactful life.

Contributions in memory of Donna can be made to animal shelters or the American Heart Association, supporting causes dear to her heart. Tulip Cremations in Stockton, CA, assisted the family with the arrangements. Donna’s legacy of kindness, intellect, and compassion will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
