Donna's obituary
Donna “Lived every day and made it a Masterpiece” whether riding horses, taking care of her family, friends, and her work colleagues, reading her One Year Bible, just “Enjoying the View” at home having tea and peanut butter toast, or watching football and cooking. After retirement she volunteered as a docent for the Riverside Mission Inn and for the Riverside Mission Inn Museum. Previously she was also a volunteer caretaker of Box Springs Mountain Park.
Donna worked for the County of Riverside for twenty-five plus years as well as other places before and in between. Always a health enthusiast, she helped form an employee health program where she taught an exercise class after work. She was always part of something beyond the scope of her duties and made it fun for everybody; like when she was featured on the news for “horse pooling” to work. She was lovingly referred to as being a troublemaker, especially by her lunchtime pool-playing friends!
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, David Duron, whom together enjoyed camping and going to Mule Days in Bishop; sons Scott (Pam) and Mark Duffield; daughters Teresa Kosar, and Jessica (Dan) English; 8 grandkids, 3 great grandkids, and numerous other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers please feel free to donate to any charity of your choice as she was a member of the local 100 Women Who Care charity. Donna’s favorite Bible verse: Psalm 118:24.
Now, let’s go get Dairy Queen...
