I wanted to extend my condolences to the entire family. I met Donna and Larry when I was about 10 and started attending First Congregational Church of Alameda. Donna recruited me to play handbells. I joined the choir when I was in high school and every week Donna and Larry would pick me up for rehearsal. They both had such an impact on me when I was growing up. I admired Donna’s dedication to literacy and her love of music. I can still hear her saying, “Now keep your wits about you!” When we were working through a difficult piece of music. This world was certainly better for her having been in it.

Dear family of Donna Danielson.
We would like to express our sympathy to you with the death of your mother, grandmother, and relative Donna Danielson. We were members of First Congregational Church Alameda for about 20 years, since 1996. Pam was in the church choir and enjoyed Donna as the director. Willem worked closely with Larry in the last years before his retirement. We stayed in contact after their move to Pilgrim's Place, and had a chance to visit them there. We kept in touch, also after Larry's death, and Willem had phone contact with Donna for the last time in 2023, when it was hard for her to talk due to the Parkinson's. We are thankful to have known her and Larry and for the friendship through the years. Donna was a woman with a great and independent personality, strong and dynamic, social and caring, a good friend. May you be cherishing the good memories, and be comforted in faith.
Pam and Willem VandeKamp
