Oh Donna. <3 I just found out today she passed. I was a case manager that worked with Donna for years when she was at Gladstone Apartments. I don't have enough words to express what a wonderful, exemplary woman she was. She was a living and breathing example of how to treat people well. She was "Mama Donna" to everyone who lived there and they LOVED her. She was warm, loving, firm and fair. She saw all of those (formerly homeless) tenants as a child of God and treated them that way. I will forever love and admire her. What a loss for all of us and truly a "gain" for heaven. I'm sorry for the family's loss - she loved you all so much and spoke of you endlessly. Rest in well deserved peace, Mama Donna. Love you always.
My Dad was blessed that his brother Oliver gave him not one, but four beautiful nieces. He was ever so proud of the four of you! He would be heartbroken to know that Donna has left us so early, but I am certain he is welcoming her now, as she makes her final journey home. Please know that mom, Sherri and I are praying for comfort and healing for all of you in this difficult time. Much love! Linda, LeAnn and Sherri Lawrence.
