Donato “Danny”'s obituary
Danny was an Army Veteran of WWII. Once he moved to South Florida, he was in the construction industry and a member of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitter’s Union.
Those who cherish his memory are his brother, Tommy Margotta of Bluffton, SC; his wife of 35 years Peggy Etheridge Margotta of Dania, FL; his (step)children Ken Kasten of Southlake, TX, David Kasten of Plantation, FL, Fred Kasten of Dania FL, and Donna Millares of Davie, FL. Danny “Papa” was a proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren .
Danny was a family man, and would do anything for anyone. His passions were fishing, working in his garage, and helping family. He was blessed to live in Melaleuca Gardens, spending years with his neighbors who were like family.
Danny loved sports and was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins, Hurricanes, and the Heat. He and Peggy enjoyed happy hour at his favorite watering hole, The American Legion Post #92 in Hollywood, Fl, where he was a member for 20 years.
Danny lived a long, wonderful life. While we miss him dearly, our family is at peace knowing that he has joined his dearest friend, Art, and his best little buddy, his dog Peesh.
