Donald(Don)'s obituary

Donald Harrison Trittin, affectionately known as Don, was born in Stuttgart Germany to Gisela Johanna Lindner Johnston and Thomas Trittin, on August 4th, 1959. He passed away on July 29, 2024, at the age of 64 in Meridian, Idaho, in the comfort of his own home.

Don spent his career dedicated to roles that highlighted his strengths and passions. In Olympia, Washington, he thrived as the Maintenance Director for Spinnaker Property Management, a job that was made all the more rewarding by working alongside his son. He retired after over a decade of committed service at Bon-aire, a place where he took immense pride in his work.

Don's hobbies and interests painted the picture of a man deeply in love with life and nature. He was happiest when close to water, whether it be a river, Lake Tahoe, Horseshoebend, or Sheepherder's Hotsprings. An avid car enthusiast, Don also spent countless hours on numerous car projects and admiring all types of cars. His adventures in life took him across various states including California, Nevada, Washington, Oregon and Wisconsin, where he made enduring memories with his family. Don also had a profound appreciation for the natural world, collecting rocks, coral, and other wonders of nature.

Don leaves behind a loving family: his son, daughter, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, nephews, niece , cousins, and seven grandchildren and many friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother, uncles, aunt, and grandparents.

A service to celebrate Don's life will be planned soon, once it is the details will be shared with family and friends and posted here. In lieu of flowers, contributions are welcomed to fulfill Don's wish to be laid to rest in Lake Tahoe, a place he held dear. Please consider donating to assist with this final tribute.

Don will be remembered not only for his resilient character and heartwarming laughter but also for the unwavering support and care he extended to all. His legacy is one of love, friendship, and an unshakable zest for life's simple beauties.
