Donald's obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Donald Wayne Riley. October 8, 2024, Don or Donnie, fell asleep for the last time after a two month battle with cancer. Don was born December 23, 1953 in Alice, TX to Robert and Irene Riley. He graduated from Premont High School in 1972 with many of his lifelong friends. In 1974, he married Susan Munson, the mother of his two children.

Throughout the years, Don worked for himself, UPS, Exxon, Riley Transmission and Pavestone. He spent much of his free time keeping up with and visiting his friends and family. He genuinely loved being around his people whether he was sitting on the beach, SCUBA diving, going to a concert, riding his Honda Goldwing (member of Comal River Riders and Motorcycle Club of America), or simply talking on the phone.

He is survived by his wife Ann of 30 years, brother and best friend Bobby, son Christopher, daughter Megan and her husband Michael, grandson Ashton, granddaughters Lena and Ella, and great grandson Oliver, sister in law Joan, and nephews Trey and John.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Alan.

All his life Don made so much effort to keep up with his friends and family. He will be mourned and missed by all. Join us November 2, 2024 for a celebration and remembrance of his life at 411 Pioneer Trail San Marcos, 1:30pm.
