Donald's obituary

    It is with great sadness that the family of Donald Pratt Snodgrass announce his passing on May 27th, 2023.  

        Donald, son of Palmer and Emma Snodgrass, brother of Dr Robert Snodgrass, grew up in Kansas City as a Presbyterian. He graduated from University of Colorado- Boulder Undergraduate-Electrical Engineering/Business, then Southern Methodist University for his MBA. Donald had very successful careers in Dallas, TX at Rockwell International and Spectrodyne Corp. He was a supportive, loving, and caring husband and father, married to Joni for 60 years. Retirement moved Donald and Joni to Denver, CO where he delighted in options trading until his passing at age 87.

      Donald was a pilot. He enjoyed flying a Piper Cub in his early days. Also, Donald enjoyed boating, camping, snow/water skiing, tennis, ice-climbing, and mountain climbing. His love of the Colorado Rocky Mountains ran deep. He was 2nd out of 4 generations involved at Cheley Colorado Camp. Don was a ‘Master-Certified’ Scuba-diver and loved to travel on scuba trips around the world with Joni.

      Donald is survived by his spouse-Joan A Snodgrass-Littleton, CO, his 2 daughters and their spouse’s: Kristin and Ron Kirby from Austin, TX, and Kimmy and Alex Jorna from Lakewood, CO, 5 grandchildren: Colton Kirby-23, Hunter Kirby-20, Payton-16 of Austin, TX, Xanderie-26 and her husband Johan Buys of Denver, CO, Alejandro Jorna-23 of S. Carolina, and Don’s only brother-Dr Robert Snodgrass. Donald has many other cousins, nephews, and nieces whom he loved dearly.

Donald P Snodgrass will be deeply missed. He’s now singing praises with God and will find comfort and peace forever.
