Donald Wayne Shiflett, aka Dad, Pop Pop, PeeWee, or Donnie, passed away on September 4, 2023, after a short, valiant battle with cancer. Donald was born on February 2, 1970, in Richmond, Virginia. He lived in Louisa, VA, all of his life until he relocated to Spotsylvania, VA in 2021. Donald held multiple jobs, his latest and most successful as a skilled, talented carpenter specializing in custom decks and covered porches.

He is survived by his fiancé, Kelly Dove; daughter, Kiersten Shifflett; sons, Austen and Ayden Shifflett; grandchildren, Easten and Callie Shifflett; sisters, Linda Bickley and Tina Lamb; brother, Leonard "Bucky" Shiflett Jr., nieces, Meagan Bickley (and her daughter Aubrey) and Layla Weston, nephew, Zachery Weston and many more close family and friends. Donald is preceded in death by his father, Leonard Lee Shiflett, and his mother, Patsy Jean Shiflett (Mundie).

Donald loved with everything he had, and to know him was to love him. He was best known as a dedicated and loving father to his three children and his fiancé. Together, they enjoyed Louisa football games, playing table games, and endless card games. For a man who only knew how to talk text, Donald always won at his favorite game, Scrabble. He also enjoyed cruising to Mexico, the Bahamas, and Alaska, and vacationing in Florida and Tennessee. Last, he took pride in his racecar, Huckleberry, which he built alongside his son, Ayden. They enjoyed many track nights in Maryland and Virginia with friends and family, making memories and sharing laughs. He will be greatly missed by all.
