My Hearts Deepest Condolences to Cindy, Christine, Anthony and Don’s entire Family as well as to his extended community of friends. I am grateful I was able to attend the very moving Mass via live-stream. Thank you for making that available. To Nick, thank you for sharing about your relationship with your brother. It was so very beautiful so touching and meaningful.
One never knows how many people we touch throughout our lives. I knew Don through a property owner’s association he was part of in the far reaches of Los Angeles in the community of Canoga Park.
Don was a leader, mentor and an inspirational friend and colleague to many in this community. He was always brainstorming ways to make our little business district better and creative ways to let people know about it. He was generous and thoughtful. Even in a fairly recent call with him his kindness and thoughtfulness shown through.
He was playful and humble. Even as we talked him into playing the role of St Patrick in the little lightheaded town event, which he inspired us all to create for our community, he wanted to make sure that no one misunderstood his portrayal as anything other than playful and still respectful.
We will miss you on this earthly plain Dear Donald X Sanelli.
Thank you for your time here and may your soul be forever bathed in light and love and happiness and peace.

Don was a great guy. I was always glad to see him. We would always joke around. We both admired the writer John Fante. We both had ambitions to write and exchanged manuscripts to give/get feedback from each other. And when Andrea and I had a couple of stories published he was generous and celebratory. Such a good spirit! I’ll miss him!

Don and Cindy own a place in the condo community I moved to 11 years ago. Don was active on the Board here for many years, volunteering his time and expertise to this small community. I was encouraged to eventually volunteer my time, Don was the most supportive person here. When you work hard volunteering in a community it can be a thankless job and you often wonder “why am I doing this?” But if I ever had any such question it would immediately be dispelled when Don arrived for a visit. He was a wonderful supporter, always with positive feedback. As soon as he would see me he would bellow out, “The place looks beautiful”, and go on to rave about the improvements. The thing was, he NOTICED, and knowing what it takes to do the job, he cheered me on. Thank you, Don. I’ll miss your visits snd your ‘rave reviews’.

Don and a few others volunteered on Improvement Group of Canoga Park. That’s where I met Don and he had such a way that he became friends with us all. He will be missed but we all learned a lot from Don, and we had a lot of fun too. What a guy!
Don was the pope in the St Patricks day parade and will look for a picture.
