Donald Pierce Robertson, Sr., known by his preferred name Don, passed away on October 10, 2023, at the age of 89, in Santa Maria, CA. He was born on October 4, 1934, in Harris County, Texas. Don served in the Navy from 1951 to 1961.

Don was a dedicated family man and is survived by his loving spouse, Gayle. He is also survived by his children, Donald Robertson, Jr. (Jackie) and Genie Stuemke (Fritz), as well as his grandchildren, Justin Robertson (Shana), Genevieve Rowe (James), and Colin Robertson (Jennifer), and Jon Stuemke, Jr. (Alisha). Don was also a proud great-grandfather to Jessica Rowe, James Rowe, Justin Stuemke, Elizabeth Robertson, and Brooke Stuemke. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gene, and his daughter, Julie.

Throughout his career, Don primarily worked in accounting, with positions at American Cyanamid and National Lumber, where he handled retail returns. His last employment was as an auditor for Aramark, where he meticulously kept track of food and beverage consumption at Angel Stadium.

In his free time, Don enjoyed writing short mystery stories, although he faced challenges with spelling and grammar that hindered his publishing success. He also had a passion for cooking and dreamed of starting a business selling his delicious fruit cakes, although he lacked the necessary financial backing. He also enjoyed travelling, dancing, napping in front of the TV ("I was watching that!") and boring you with his childhood and Navy stories.

Donald Pierce Robertson, Sr. will be remembered as a dedicated family man, a proud Navy veteran, and a meticulous professional. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
