Donald's obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald Rees, who passed away on July 21, 2025. Born in 1949, he lived a fulfilling life marked by love and resilience. He loved his family and was always the link that held us together. His warm and enduring sense of witty humor made family get togethers a cherished memory for all who were there.

He was a beloved father to Darlene Sweet and Cyndi Stephens, and a cherished brother to Rita MacDemaid, Marilyn Mckeon, and Fred Rees. He was also a dedicated grandfather to Sterling Sweet and Joshua Stephens. Donald was blessed with the companionship of his surviving common-law spouse, Irene Nickle, and ex-wife, Louise (Wickman) Rees.

Donald was predeceased by his father, Ralph E Rees, mother, Edith (Flemming) Rees, sister Faith (Rees) Anderson, and spouse, Mary Rogers. The memories he created with them continue to live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Donald was a motorcycle enthusiast, often found tinkering with motors or working on his vintage Fiero . His love for motorcycles served as a testament to his adventurous spirit.

Donald's essence will forever be remembered and cherished by all who knew him. We bid him farewell, but his impact will never be forgotten.
