Donald's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved man, Donald Ray English, who left us on November 11, 2023, at the age of 60. Born on July 11, 1963, Donald was a cherished figure in our lives and his departure leaves a void that cannot be filled.
Surviving him are his devoted fiancée , Susan Landrum, loving daughter, Samantha Sue English, future Son-In-Law Phillip C. Dent, adoring granddaughters, Tracie Rain Stewart, Jaylin Skye White, and his grandson Phillip Jeffrey Dent. He also leaves behind his sisters, Fran, Della English, and Brenda Tahiri among many nieces and nephews Donald was predeceased by his father, Kenneth Odell English, mother, Eula Mae Starr, and sister, Betty English.
Donald was an enthusiast of life's simple pleasures. He relished in the taste of Shrimp with Tartar Sauce, Liver, and a variety of Sandwiches. Monster Energy was his drink of choice, fueling his days of laughter and love. Donald had a refined taste in literature; his favorite books were The Bible and Tom Sawyer. His eclectic taste in music included the likes of "Why Me Lord" by Kris Kristofferson "Old Man" by Neil Young, and anything Johnny Cash amongst others. Hacksaw Ridge and GunSmoke were his favorite films that he enjoyed watching in his leisure time.
Donald was charismatic, kind, and funny man. One with a strong work ethic. Donald entered the military as a young man and completed as a veteran. Donald was also dedicated to his career as an Automotive Technician, he was passionate about Cars and spent countless hours polishing chrome to perfection. Despite the many obstacles he faced throughout his life, he fought the good fight of faith and persevered, taking great pride in his grandchildren.
More than anything, Donald was a family man who loved spending time with his loved ones. His legacy is one of unconditional love. Donald's life was a testament to enduring love, the power of faith, and the strength of the human spirit. The loss of Donald is deep and his absence will be significantly felt. Yet, we celebrate a life well lived, one that touched so many other lives. We are comforted by the knowledge that his life lessons and legacy of kindness will continue to live within us. He will be sorely missed .
A Memorial service to celebrate Donald's life will be held on December 9, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Iron Horse Church. As we remember and honor Donald's life, let us carry forward his spirit of kindness, love, and perseverance.
