Donald's obituary
It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mr. Donald Lowry, a beloved brother and friend, born June 12, 1955, who left us on August 14, 2025. Known for his warmth and kindness, Donald touched many lives with his positive spirit and friendly demeanor.
Donald was born into a world of love and faith, lessons he carried throughout his life. He was never shy about expressing his love for God and often encouraged others to explore their faith. His deep-rooted belief in the Almighty was most evident in his love for gospel music and his joyous voice could often be heard echoing through the corridors of the church, singing hymns with heart and soul.
The beautiful memories he etched in the hearts of his family and friends are numerous, but the ones that stood out are his moments of singing in the church with his loved ones. These moments, filled with love, harmony, and devotion, encapsulate who Donald was – a man of faith, love, and music.
While he will be greatly missed, Donald's legacy continues through his brother Jim Lowry and sister, Shirley Lowry-Ralls. A bond of sibling love that time and space could not break, Donald, Jim and Shirley shared many beautiful memories, lessons, and songs that will now fill the void left by his absence.
A Celebration of Life for Donald will be held on September 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at 1201 Belmont Ave. The family invites all those who knew Donald and were touched by his life to join them in remembering and celebrating a well-lived life.
Donald Lowry, a man who lived his life harmonizing his faith and love through gospel music, leaves behind not just notes and hymns, but a melody of love, faith, and warmth. May his soul rest in eternal peace and his melody continue to resonate in our hearts.
