Donald Robert Habig, age 71, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2023 after a short battle with cancer. Preceded in death by parents, Wydell & Shirley Habig; and brother, Scott. Survived and greatly missed by wife of over 47 years, Lavelle "Val" (Kruse); daughters Kristi (Scott) Ide and Kelly Campbell; grandchildren Jordan, Lucas, Paige, and Caleb; sister Jean, nieces, nephews, and many other loving family and friends. Don loved listening to Garth Brooks, working on various projects in his garage, and helping others with anything they needed. Don was a jack-of-all-trades and a master at so many things. Whenever confronted with a challenge he wasn't initially familiar with, he had the uncanny ability to find a solution and resolve any issue at hand. Traveling with Val and friends, doing home improvement projects with his daughters, and teaching his grandkids everything about anything were just a few of his favorite things. 

 We will gather to celebrate Don’s life on August 28, 2023 at 2:00pm at St. Phillips Lutheran Church located at 6180 Hwy 65 NE Fridley, MN 55432
