Donnie always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone he came in contact with. In the years we shared with this exceptional and loving family, he was always a loving husband to Michelle and amazing father to their children. What a testimony and legacy he leaves behind. Until we all meet again....

Michele, so sorry Kim and I won’t be able to attend. We have a family member funeral to attend that at the exact same time. Unbelievable! So glad I got to talk to him through his illness and a final goodbye call! Leave it to Donnie to want to tell people how important they were to him before he left this world! It was an experience I will treasure and never forget! WOW 30 years of friendship! What a true friend! Keep smiling DJG! Michele don’t lose my # I’ve known you just as long and love your family dearly!

I remember something Donnie told me about Collin when our son was in KWAM at New Hope. He said Collin was a sponge, soaking up the teaching and truths of scripture that Donnie was communicating. I have cherished that and prayed that over my son for years. Eric and I are eternally grateful for how much Donnie poured into our kids, not just in KWAM, but during all the time Kayley and Collin spent at the Greer’s house, their second home when they were young and best friends with Hannah and Chris. Donnie saw things, deeper things, and he called them out. He was a truth-teller and an amazing encourager and exhorter! Now his contagious rock-solid faith has become sight. But how we will miss him until we see him again. I can just imagine his enthusiasm when that day comes, and he gets to say “I told you so.”

Both Twana and I remember Donnie encouraging us in areas of our lives that are important to us. For me, Donnie caught me in the Truelife parking lot one Sunday and he very purposefully encouraged me in my leadership and speaking ability. That meant a lot to me because it’s because I looked up to Donnie as a man of both those things.
And twana remembers Donnie confirming to her after the parenting Conf led by Seth, that having children (we hadn’t gotten pregnant with a Mav yet) was just the best thing ever.
We cheer you on, Donnie, and also your family that carry on your legacy.
